McEvans Elementary School was the site for Small Town America to listen to a Pioneer of the Civil Rights Era, James Meredith the First Black Man to attend the University of Mississippi known as Old Miss. I've had the privilidge to photograph Mr Meredith over several years and find each encounter to be wholesome, educational and a reflection of what was and should not be allowed to happen again. I consider him a friend and confidant.
